5th EMES International Research Conference on Social Enterprise

Staff members of the Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Studies presented their reports during the 5th EMES International Research Conference on Social Enterprise, which took place on June 30 – July 3 in Helsinki.

The report by Alexandra Moskovskaya, Director of the Center and Victoria Silaeva, Leading Research Fellow at the Department of Applied Studies of Work and Professions, on the institutionalization of social entrepreneurship in Russia became part of the center research project supported by HSE Basic Research Programme.

It’s the third time the Center staff members have taken part in this conference. In 2013 the Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Studies became member of EMES research network. At the 4th EMES conference, which took place in Belgium, the report by the Center researchers was dedicated to the first results of the research of the leaders of international social entrepreneurship, held by the Center in 2012-2013 and supported by the Fund of regional social programmes ‘Our Future’.

EMES is not only the largest research organization specializing in the field of social entrepreneurship in the world, it is also the organization that initiated the project 'The International Comparative Social Enterprise Models'   (ICSEM). The Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Studies is also its official partner.
